The defeat followed a spirited public discussion in which 17 residents spoke, with 10 expressing opposition and just 7 speaking in favor.
The arrest of an 18-year-old Milford High School student has upset many in town, particularly within Milford High School, where the individual was a student. In a Monday press conference, ICE addressed the situation and explained that they were originally seeking the young man's father, who share his name and is also in the country illegally. ICE said they did not target the 18-year-old but since he is also not lawfully present, he was arrested.
