Franklin's 4th District Congressman, U.S. Representative Jake Auchincloss (D-MA), will address some of the region’s top business leaders at an in-person New England Council “Capitol Hill Report” breakfast on Wednesday morning at Boston's Hampshire House, near Beacon Hill.
In a fireside chat conversation moderated by New England Council President & CEO Jim Brett, the Congressman will discuss some of the current issues before Congress and his legislative priorities to promote economic growth in the region. Over 130 local business leaders are expected to attend.
The New England Council, the country’s oldest regional business organization, is an alliance of businesses, academic and health institutions, and public and private organizations throughout New England formed to promote economic growth and a high quality of life in the region.
The Council says it is dedicated to identifying and supporting federal public policies and articulating the voice of its membership regionally and nationally on important issues facing New England. The NEC is also committed to working with public and private sector leaders across the region and in Washington through educational programs and forums for information exchange.
